The police and York council have teamed up with York football club and IDAS to launch their domestic abuse awareness campaign.  This highlights the problem of domestic abuse at Christmas time which can be particularly stressful where abuse is already a factor in the relationship.  Added stresses at Christmas include financial pressures and an increase in alcohol consumption which can make an already tense situation even worse.  We would make a plea to anyone who is worried about their relationship to ring us on our helpline on 03000 110 110.  This is free and confidential.
