Training

Each year, IDAS trains thousands of professionals to confidently understand domestic abuse, sexual violence and related issues.

We offer face-to-face training across Yorkshire and live online training for anyone in the UK, on topics including signs and indicators of domestic abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour, risk assessing in domestic abuse cases and how to support specific victim groups. Most of our courses are CPD accredited.

Our eLearning courses around domestic abuse and sexual violence are also available for anyone across the UK to complete, at a time to suit them, and we have a selection of view on demand webinars for bite-sized learning experiences.

“I wanted to let you know what a massive impact your lecture had on our students. I have just marked their work and more than 2/3 of them chose to focus on domestic abuse and all reflected on the learning and impact of your lecture on their understanding and awareness of domestic abuse. What an incredible and memorable learning experience for them which will influence their knowledge and understanding as they move forward into practice.”
