Training and resources

Training and resources

Through our training, prevention and education work we want to inspire individuals and organisations to tackle abuse and help change society.

Our learning centre is the gateway to our accredited courses, our professional training, research and reports the majority of which we share freely.

Online courses

Awareness courses for professionals and volunteers

Our basic awareness courses are free and are intended to provide an introduction to the issues around domestic abuse and sexual violence. Complete in your own time and gain a certificate on completion.

Online and face to face

Training

Each year, we train thousands of professionals to confidently understand the impacts of domestic abuse, sexual violence and how best to support victims and survivors. Many of our courses are CPD accredited.

Dedicated training area for volunteers

Volunteer learning

We provide extensive training and support for people who volunteer with IDAS. Volunteer roles are varied and can be a great way to make a difference to victims and survivors. This area is restricted to current volunteers. To become a volunteer apply here.

Informing policy through research

Research

As a leading specialist charity IDAS is regularly asked to input into research which helps inform local and national policy. We have also developed our own research on key areas of work including on the family courts.
