What we do

IDAS offers a range of free and confidential services to help people cope with, and recover fromthe traumatic effects of domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Our support is open to everyone irrespective of age, sex, gender, ethnicity, disability or immigration status. 

Our services include the provision of different types of safe accommodation, one to one and groupwork support in the community, and access to our confidential helpline. Services are accessible and inclusive and can be accessed by anyone living in North Yorkshire, Barnsley and Sheffield.

Domestic abuse

IDAS offers free, confidential support and advice and access to emergency accommodation for anyone who is subject to domestic abuse.

Sexual abuse can afffect anyone

Sexual violence

Our skilled team support anyone who has experienced sexual abuse, violence or rape.

A whole family approach

Children and young people

Children are often the hidden victims in abusive households.  We provide programmes and groups that help them recover from the harmful impacts of abuse.

A safe place for everyone

Safe accommodation

As well as our women’s refuges we provide a range of quality dispersed accommodation to support anyone who needs to escape abuse.
