Take part in this year’s Great North Swim and raise vital funds to support victims and survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence in Yorkshire.

The Arla Great North Swim is the UK's biggest open water swimming event, taking place on Friday, 7th June at Lake Windermere. Expect stunning scenery, the best of local food and drink, outdoor activities, culture, art, history and thousands of like-minded people coming together in a weekend-long celebration of open-water swimming.

We have a very limited number of charity places for the 1 mile swim, which is suitable for swimmers of all abilities and is equivalent to 64 lengths of a standard 25m pool. If you’d like to take part and can pledge to raise £200 in sponsorship, we’d love to hear from you!

Each year, we answer 30,000 calls to our free confidential helpline. We respond to 18,000 referrals, support 10,000 people in our local community, and house 250 families who have fled violence in our emergency refuge accommodation.

We need to raise around £100,000 every year to support our mainstream funding. By raising funds for our charity, you will help women, men and children in Yorkshire escape abuse and violence and get the support they need to recover from their experiences.
