After an English degree in York, Carol trained with KPMG in London and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1989. Since moving back to York, she has held senior finance posts in the not for profit and charity sector, primarily within education and health and social care.
Outside work Carol enjoys long distance walks, painting and gardening on her allotment.
