Alison has worked in all sectors, but primarily the not-for-profit and public sector. She brings to IDAS her knowledge of governance as both a former chief executive, founder and trustee of a number of charities and as a former government civil servant. She is experienced in strategy development, business modelling, public policy and delivering community-focused programmes.
She now works in a freelance capacity, primarily advising public bodies on strategies that connect policy to practice and developing grant making schemes to support neighbourhood action.
