We have been shortlisted for the UK’s Largest Diversity Awards, in recognition of our commitment to ending violence against women and girls and support of anyone affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.

The Community Organisation Award for Gender applauds groups, charities and voluntary organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to their local community, with diversity as their core focus.

Sarah Hill, IDAS CEO says, “To be shortlisted for this award is an honour and recognition of all the work our teams do to make our services inclusive and accessible. In addition to our vital work with women and girls, we have supported hundreds of male, trans and non-binary victims. We have also increased our accommodation so that we can safely accommodate victims who need to escape abuse but who cannot access a women’s refuge. Our services are life-changing, and often lifesaving, for those we support.”

Representatives from our teams will attend a prestigious ceremony at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on 16th September, where the winners in each category will be announced.

Wish us luck!
