We are proud that, along with a selection of other local charities, IDAS has been granted a Duke of York Community Initiative Award. The selection criteria for the award is strict and is based on how we work to ensure that people we support feel included in the delivery of our services. We do this by consulting with people on everything from our promotional material to our policies. We can now use the award in certain funding bids to build on our strengths and further involve clients in service delivery. As a starter, we plan to develop a peer mentoring project early in 2015. Here is our Chair of Trustees, Jo Beilby collecting our award from the Duke.
