Have you have read the Charity Commission guidance on conditions for disqualification from being a charity trustee? You will find it at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/automatic-disqualification-rules-for-charity-trustees-and-charity-senior-positions
Being an IDAS trustee may involve working with children and vulnerable people, so you are required to declare any convictions you may have, even if they would otherwise be regarded as ‘spent’ under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1994 (exemptions) Order SI1975, Schedule 1 part 2 (amended by SI1986). Failure to declare a conviction will disqualify you from appointment or result in termination of membership if the discrepancy comes to light. A DBS check is required for each IDAS committee member and trustee.
