We support anyone impacted by domestic abuse or sexual violence. Everyone who comes to IDAS will be treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

We recognise that the Supreme Court judgment and the Equality and Human Rights Commission's (EHRC) statutory Code of Practice may have caused uncertainty or concern for people. We want to reassure anyone who needs our support, that our commitment to all survivors remains unchanged.

Our helplines, live chat, dispersed emergency accommodation and individual support from our specialist community teams, are available to all survivors, regardless of gender identity.

We will continue to provide inclusive emergency accommodation options so that survivors, of all gender identities, can access safety, support and a pathway to recovery.

Our focus remains where it has always been: providing expert, trauma informed support that responds to the individual needs of every survivor and helping people find safety, recover from abuse and rebuild their lives.

We stand with all survivors of domestic abuse who have been impacted by the judgement. IDAS is a space where you will be respected and understood.
