This year, we are marking the 16 days of action (25th November - 10th December) by launching a website, focusing on 16 different types of abuse experienced by women across the UK.

16 days of Action is a UK wide campaign which asks us all to take a stand to end violence against women and girls.

Our website provides information and resources to better understand these types of violence and abuse. We also tell the stories of survivors, many of whom have been supported by us, and are bravely shining a light on the different types of abuse and violence experienced by thousands of women every day.

Through these stories IDAS can raise awareness of the harmful impacts of living with abuse. They also help us understand the type of support women and girls need to help overcome the trauma caused by abuse. Most importantly, by sharing survivors’ stories, we can reach out to victims across the UK who are isolated, fearful or unsure about the support available to them.

Join us to learn more and to listen to stories of pain, determination and ultimately survival.  Follow the hashtag #16days16stories and like and share our posts.

We also invite you to share your own experience of violence against women and girls.
